it not been for the conflicts of war, the

| Wolves
Photo Playing Cards
Native Americans
honored the wolf for its hunting prowess and loyal
family ways and sought to emulate it. Gray
wolf families average 5-7 adults and are headed by
the highest ranking, or "alpha"
pair. They are often so devoted to each other
they've been said to fall in love, and they are
usually the only pair to breed. Each suit has
its own unique photo! 3-1/2 X 2-1/2"

| America
Photo Playing Cards
Although Congress set
aside Yellowstone National Park in 1872, there was
no real system of national parks until a federal
bureau, the National Park Service, was created on
August 25, 1916 to manage those areas then assigned
to the U.S. Department of the Interior. Since
1872 the National Park Service has grown to include
more than 350 units or areas, encompassing
approximately 80.7 million acres. The National
Park System is dedicated to preserving historical,
natural and cultural places/events that are worthy
of the concern and attention of our generation and
future generations. National Parks represent
the grand diversity that is America. Each card
has is own unique photo from an American National
Park, Monument or Memorial. 3-1/2 X

Eagle
Photo Playing Cards
Closely
related to falcons and hawks, there are 59
species of eagles on every continent
except Antarctica. The bald eagle,
Haliaeetus leucocephalus, lives only in
North America. One of North
America's most beautiful and majestic
birds, the bald eagle is a powerful hunter
and an excellent fisherman. As many
as a half-million may have soared in the
U.S. skies when the bird was chosen in
1782 as the symbol for the new nation, a
symbol of the high ideals of freedom,
strength, and courage. Each suit has

Coast
Redwoods Photo Playing Cards
Soaring 370
feet above the forest floor, the world's
tallest measured tree is a coast
redwood. The Latin, Sequoia
sempervirens, means
"everlasting" and refers to the
trees' ability to spout from trunks and
roots more often than from seed. The
trees live an average of 500-700 years,
but 1500 year-old trees have been
found. Water is the life-giver in
the redwood forest - from summertime fog
gently bathing the tree tops to 100 inches
of wintertime rain, which feeds the rivers
and streams and nurtures a dense and
diverse forest. Each suit has its
own unique photo! 3-1/2 X

Exotic
Wildlife Photo Playing Cards
Humans
have long been fascinated by the exotic
species of the wild. Unfortunately,
they have not always chosen to live in
harmony with these animals. Many
species of wildlife have been hunted down
for their exotic furs, horns, and tusks,
wile other animals have been run off their
native lands by farming, grazing, or
industry. Habitat destruction and
mindless killing have threatened the very
survival of many species, and it is time
to recognize our responsibility to
preserve these exotic species. Each
value has its own unique photo! 3-1/2 X

Little
Critters Photo Playing Cards
Most
young are completely helpless when they are
born. Initially they rely on their parents,
mainly the mother, for food and protection from
predators. Parents will continue to feed and protect
their young until they are able to fend for
themselves. A crucial part of an offspring's
development occurs with weaning. During this time it
will play with its siblings and learn social and
survival skills from its parents. The young
animal will gain its independence once it learns the
necessary skills to survive on its own in the
wild. Each value has its own unique photo!
